Supply boats: knowing exactly who owes you
2026-10-16 · 4 min read
Supply boats carry rice, flour, gas cylinders and furniture to many islands. The hard part is not the sailing. It is remembering what each shop sent and what they still owe.
One record for each trip
Start a Dhathuru trip with the route, the islands and the departure time. As goods are loaded, add them: who gave them, what they are, and how many.
Price the goods
Put a price on each item or each load. Triplyne adds up the total for each customer, so you are not working it out on the back of an envelope.
See who owes you
The Who owes page lists every customer with the amount outstanding. Tap a name to see the goods, the date and the payments received.
Give customers a link
Each customer can have a link. They open it and see their own goods and what they owe. They can say they paid, and you see it.
Message at the right time
Send a trip message when you load, when you sail, and when you arrive. Customers stop calling to ask where the boat is.
Keep the costs too
Fuel and other costs for the trip sit next to the income, so you know what the trip really earned.
Cargo is a separate side of Triplyne, so you only use it if you need it.
