How to add a trip: charters, assigned captains and vessels

Every booking starts as a trip. A clear trip record means the right boat, the right captain and the right price on the day.
The quick way
On the Charter dashboard tap New charter trip. Pick the customer (or add a new one), the date and time, the route, and the fare. You can change anything later.
Choose the vessel
Triplyne needs a vessel before you can assign a captain or start the trip. If the date is already taken for that vessel, you will see it before you promise it to someone else.
Assign the captain
Choose a captain from your team. Captains see only the trips they are assigned to, which keeps the day simple for them.
Add a package
If the trip is one of your packages, choose it. The package brings in what is included, such as bait, drinks or life jackets, so the crew knows what to prepare.
Run the trip
On the day the captain starts the trip and ends it when the guests are back. Fuel used and the time on the water are saved against the trip.
Finish with the invoice
When the trip is completed, create the invoice from the trip card. The fare is already there.
A good habit: treat every enquiry as tentative until the deposit is in, and only confirm the trip when it is.
