How cargo works, and why it helps
What it is
Cargo is for supply boats that carry goods to many islands. Each trip is a Dhathuru. You record what you load, for whom, and how much it costs.
How it works
- Start a Dhathuru with the route, the islands and the departure time.
- Add goods as they are loaded: who gave them, what they are, how many, and the island they go to.
- Put a price on the goods.
- Send trip messages when you load, sail and arrive.
- Collect payments and see who still owes you on the Who owes page.
- Record the fuel and other costs for the trip.
Benefits
- A clear record of every load, so there are no arguments.
- You know exactly who owes you, and how much.
- Customers can open their own link to see their goods and what they owe.
- Costs sit next to income, so you see what each trip earned.
Plans
Cargo has its own plans, with a limit on trips, boats and users.
