How ticketing works, and why it helps
What it is
Ticketing is for scheduled runs: a ferry that leaves at 07:30 every day, or a shuttle between two islands. You set the timetable and the fares once. Passengers book seats, and you see the live seat count.
How it works
- Add the trip with its route, stops, time and fares for each passenger type.
- Sell seats from the Bookings page, or let passengers book on your booking page.
- Each booking gets an e-ticket link by SMS, with a QR code.
- At the jetty, scan the ticket. You see paid or unpaid, and board the passenger.
- Your passenger list and accounts update by themselves.
Benefits
- No double-selling seats: the count is always right.
- No paper lists: the passenger list is complete and shareable.
- Fewer calls: passengers have their ticket and the time.
- You see who has paid and who still owes you.
- Faster boarding, even on a full boat.
Good to know
Scheduled trips can repeat on the days you choose. You can keep a waiting list when a trip is full.
