Who we are

{{company}} ("we", "us") provides Triplyne, an online tool for managing boats, vehicles, trips, bookings, invoices and accounts. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and who can see it. Contact: ahoy@triplyne.com.

Two kinds of people use Triplyne

For information that an operator enters about their customers, the operator decides what to collect and why. We store and process it on the operator's behalf, to provide the service.

Information we collect from operators

Information collected from customers through an operator's links

When a customer uses an operator's booking page, charter page, ticket link or cargo link, the operator receives:

Customers see only their own request, ticket or account page. Anyone who has a private link can open that page, so customers should keep their links private.

Signing in with Google

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your Triplyne account and sign you in, to show your name and picture on your account, and to show your name to the operators you send a request to or book with. We do not ask for access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files or any other Google data. We do not sell this information and we do not use it for advertising. Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Triplyne's access at any time in your Google Account under Security, Third-party apps and services, and you can ask us to delete your account.

Trip requests from travellers

When a traveller posts a trip request, operators on Triplyne see the trip details (where from and to, date, time, number of people, boat type and notes) and the traveller's first name. The phone number is shared only with the operator the traveller chooses, and only from 24 hours before the trip. Prices operators send are seen only by that traveller. Chat messages between a traveller and an operator are kept so both can read them, and phone numbers, emails and links in requests and messages are hidden until 24 hours before the trip.

Payment slips

A slip photo is shown to the operator so they can check a payment. It is removed from our database when the operator confirms the payment or cancels the request.

Ratings and reviews

After a completed trip, a customer can rate the operator and the operator can rate the customer.

Email

Sign-in, password and account emails are sent through an email delivery service (Resend), which receives your email address and the message so it can deliver it.

How we use information

We use information to run accounts, keep data saved and in sync, show operators their bookings and requests, send tickets and links, confirm plan payments, answer questions, improve Triplyne and keep it secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not show advertising.

Maps and location

Package pages can show a map. When a map is shown, your device asks map providers for the map pictures for the area you are viewing, and the provider can see your device's address and the area requested. When an operator searches for an island in the map pin tool, the text they type is sent to a map search service. Satellite pictures come from a separate imagery provider. Pins are placed by the operator and show only where they choose.

Some tools in the cargo section let an operator share a location from a tracker or a link. The operator controls this.

Who can see your data

Operator data is visible to the operator and to the team members they invite, according to the access the operator gives them. Customers see only their own pages. We may access data only when needed to support you or keep the service safe. We use trusted service providers, such as cloud hosting, database storage, map and font providers, to run Triplyne. They process data for us under their own security commitments.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with our cloud database provider. Your browser also keeps some data on your device so the app can work quickly and through short internet drops.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme, remember choices such as a draft booking, and keep your work available offline. We do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep operator accounts and workspace data while the account exists. Operators can delete customer records and requests. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time, subject to anything we must keep by law. Operators should also keep their own records for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your information by writing to ahoy@triplyne.com. Customers who want their details corrected or deleted should contact the operator they booked with first.

Security

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect data. Private links use long random codes. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep links and passwords private.

Children

Triplyne is a business tool and is not meant for children. Operators who carry minors as passengers should record only what they need.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the end shows the latest version. If a change is important we will tell you in the app or by email.
